not sure maybe you dont’ have enough. i have found with lots of salt use no matter how much you drank milk in your life time and stuff for bones well it does away the salt deletes it and therefore i am borderline osteoprosis. how about that so watch out that is what i have learnt.

What’s your fluid intake? With all this heat, being dehydrated can cause you to crave salt…maybe true for you?

OOOOHHHHH! I love dill pickles. Thanks for the tip. I sometimes crave salty and sour. What a perfect combination. I don’t think it is a normal thing with diabetics cause I just recently started craving it and have been diabetic for about 10 years now.

Try drinking more water. (And I can’t even give a reason for saying that. seriously) Maybe your body sodium content is low????

I am a diabetic, have been one since I was 12 and will be 39 this Saturday, I never heard of craving salty things but you know you have to watch eating that stuff too, I just recently went to diabetes classes and they taught me all about counting carbs and doing insulin ratios, it is all about the carbs not so much the sugar, I have lost 25lbs since I started this program, if you need to eat salt try a pickle.

You are having a salt craving because that is what it does to us! I did that too for a little while. You can get past this. You have told your brain you must not have anything sweet, so it is demanding something salty!! Your brain is being totally contrary!

Try some cucumbers in lemon juice or vinegar! Tomatoes with some vinegarette? Baby fresh spinach leaves sprinkled with lemon or lime juice!
